History:
The
year was 1964. An ambitious gentlemen filled with hope,
started supplying a single retail store out of the trunk of his car in
Park Hills, MO. Udell Proffer had a dream of controlling his
own destiny and creating a legacy for generations to be proud of.
Today, Proffer Produce still operates in the same location out of our
state of the art 100,000 square foot facility. Our wholesale
operation is still a very vital part of our business, as we continue to
highlight the Top Industry Brands. Additionally, we are now a
vertically integrated company specializing in growing, shipping,
packing, repacking and distribution of tomatoes and eastern
vegetables. We are still committed to the principles that our
company was founded on in 1964: quality products, customer service,
innovation and loyalty.

Through our warehouse locations,
located strategically in the Midwest,
we have the capability to service a total of 13 states. Our
state of
the art facilities and company owned transportation equipment allow for
a broad array of services.
The Proffer Company continues to grow through the expansion of our
product lines and our distribution-repack network continuing to offer
the highest quality products to our customers and building on the
